Talking Pics is not your run-of-the-mill voice recorder. The developers thought of a great idea that makes it far more useful than just voice. Talking Pics can associate pictures with your recordings. If a map would be more relevant to your note, say you’re trying to remember where you parked, you can choose a map and set that as your image. This feature allows you to see what was happening—it’s a great way to recall what was happening during one class, meeting, or idea. Better yet, you can add text notes to the notes. Your notes are organized into projects, not unlike a task manager application.
You might be wondering, ‘How will I ever get my memos back on to my computer?’. Luckily the developers thought of that already. There is a clean web interface for downloading your notes from the computer. Activating the web interface is just tap away and allows you to archive notes on the computer.
The whole app feels well though out and complete. Because of the numerous features and well thought out interface, Talking Pics has found a permanent home on my iPhone.
Talking Pics is a good application for anyone who needs to record things. The additional functionality of the image and the text notes accompanying the audio truly makes this an awesome deal for anyone who has an iPhone or iPod touch (with an external mic).
